Specific Dates: Early/Mid May – Early/Mid August
Hours/Days per week: 5-10 hours per week + special event hours. Assistance with at least one event per month is required.
The Education Intern works as part of the Education team to support educational programming. Intern projects will be decided based on program schedules, intern’s interests, and best fit; these may include Family Art Saturday, tour programs, school outreach (Art Truck), and community outreach events.
Interns are responsible for various tasks for the preparation and instruction of their assigned program(s). These may include: program content development, teaching material preparation, maintenance of the classroom spaces, and assistance with classroom management and program instruction.
Applicants must be able to commit to weekend dates for their assigned program(s) throughout the internship.
- Enjoys working with youth and is comfortable speaking to groups of all ages
- Preferably has experience working in an educational setting and has a background in the arts
- Friendly, punctual, reliable, and self-motivated
- Able to accept direction
Intern may be required to meet at alternate locations occasionally within the Salt Lake area.
