SLAC Photography School

Register for studio art classes at the Salt Lake Art Center School. Courses are available for all skill levels in photography and digital imaging.  Courses run on a semester schedule, and some are available for college credit.

The photography darkroom and lab are available for use to registered students (free) and the general public ($8.00 per hour). Open lab hours can be found at www.slacphoto.net, but are typically Monday 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm, and Saturday 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm. Open labs are staffed by knowledgeable volunteers. Important Dates for Summer 2013:

Registration Begins: Monday, MAR 25

First Day of Classes: Tuesday, MAY 14

Registration Ends: Saturday, MAY 25

Late Registration: Monday, MAY 27 – Saturday, JUN 1

Late registration includes a $25 administrative fee.

Drop Period: A class may be dropped without penalty any time preceding or during the first TWO WEEKS of class. After this period thru week 4, a class can be dropped and payment refunded with the exception of a $25 administrative fee.  Classes cannot be dropped after the 4th week occurs, and refunds will not be given.

Additional Refund Policy Information: All classes are subject to cancellation if enrollment is low. A full refund will be made if a class is canceled.

Lab Fee Policy: All lab fees are used for, but not limited to, Xerox handouts, binders, demo paper, classroom show prints, chemistry, new software and computer maintenance.

Last Day of Classes: Thursday, AUG 2

Holidays:
Monday, MAY 27 -  Memorial Day
Thursday, JUL 4 – Independence Day
Wednesday, JUL 24 – Pioneer Day

NO labs over these weekends and as otherwise noted.
